Rani Richardson, B.A.
Rani Richardson is enrolled in the MD/PhD program at the University of North Carolina. She is working on her PhD thesis at NIDA through the NIH Graduate Partnerships Program. Her research interests involve stress, addiction, and the gut-brain axis. Currently, she uses animal models to study the biological mechanisms of how stress and the gastrointestinal tract interact to impact alcohol-seeking behaviors. Ms. Richardson earned a B.A. in neuroscience and chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania.
