The NIDA IRP Technology Development Initiative is offering an opportunity for pre-doctoral, post doctoral, visiting and research fellows to serve on committee for reviewing and selecting papers highlighting emerging technologies.
First, we will highlight recent papers on emerging technology that have potential or demonstrated use for substance abuse and addiction-related research. Second, we want to give NIDA IRP fellows opportunities to review primary literature and present to peers.
Each month, a paper highlighting an emerging technology, or a new use of a technology related to substance abuse and addiction research will be featured on the NIDA IRP website. The papers will be selected by the committee which will meet 4 times a year. Each committee member will submit 1-2 papers to the committee chair (PI, Brandon Harvey) 2 weeks prior to the quarterly committee meeting where each member has 5 minutes to present and highlight the novel technology for each paper they have selected. Each member will cast a vote for their top three papers and the papers with most votes will be highlighted for a month along with the name of the committee member who selected the paper.
Must be a full time post-doctoral IRTA, visiting research fellow IRTA or Research Fellow FTE in a laboratory of a tenured or tenure-track investigator at the NIDA IRP. Must have approval from your supervisor to participate.
